SI Group-UK Ltd operates from Four Ashes, near Wolverhampton, a site that has been manufacturing organic chemicals since at least 1960 and currently employs around 110 people, with turnover reported at roughly £77 million. It is a UK subsidiary of SI Group Inc, a family-owned US company founded in 1906 that today operates 18 manufacturing sites and joint ventures across North America, Europe, Asia and South America; Four Ashes also hosts SI Group’s European Innovation Centre.

The Four Ashes site is part of SI Group’s phenolic and alkylphenolic resins business, producing chemical intermediates and performance additives used in adhesives, tyres and rubber, plastics, lubricants, fuels and coatings. SI Group maintains ISO and EHSSQ certifications across its global operations and supplies customers in more than 80 countries.
