Ingevity UK Ltd’s plant at Baronet Road, Warrington, Cheshire, has been in continuous production since 1974 and currently employs around 160 Ingevity staff plus contractors. It is a UK manufacturing site of Ingevity, the US specialty chemicals group that demerged from WestRock (formerly MeadWestvaco) in 2016.
The Warrington site manufactures caprolactone monomer along with related polyols and thermoplastics, supplied as raw materials into resins, coatings, elastomers, adhesives and bioplastics, and Ingevity has invested in expanding caprolactone capacity there. The plant holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, and supports local charities, with St Rocco’s Hospice named as its keystone charity partner.
